In all seriousness...I too have noticed that "name brand" gas tends to "last longer" in my vehicles...I am under the belief that the "non-name brand" stations tend to add more crap to their product to reduce that actual "gas" part by volume....thus maintaining their "low price" profit margin....but like I said in one of the other threads....maybe one of the ChE's can chime in and give us a scientific approach to this phenomenon....

I was there January 8, 1988 - January 5, 1990. I left as the unit deployed for Reforger 1990- I didn't even have a ride to the airport- my Buddy in Alpha Company had to give me a ride... I got my MSE training/MOS by re-enlisting and goign back to AIT- whereas you guys got field trained.
Captain Parsley was the CO when I left. On Friday's we used to go on, what he called "L.S.D. Runs" LSD stood for Long, Slow, Distance. We'd stretch from like 06:00 - 06:15, then we'd close ranks- right face, forward march, then the next thing you heard was: "Double-Time, March!" And, for the next 60 - 120 minutes we were jogging. We ran so far, and so deep into Wurzburg- I was scared to fall out of the run- because I didn't know where the he!! I was... CPT Parsley was crazy- we ran all up & through Alpha & Charlie's barracks, all 4 floors- singing cadences- all through the chow hall, all through BN headquarters... That unit was all about PT.
My last FTX there was Hohenfelds, 1989 in November. We got snowed in on top of a mountain in Hohenfelds- and ended up spending Thanksgiving in the field... That was a 30-day FTX. I started slearing two weeks before Christmas, and they let me leave 3 days early- so I flew 1/5/1990. Had I been lucky, they woudl have let me go so I could be home for X-Mas, but alas- I spent my first two christmases away from home, in Wurzburg, Germany.
I didn't know too many guys in Extension Plt- the only one I remember was Holloway and Randle, big 6'6" dudde- couldn't miss him..
