i just went to the local Ford dealer (on my only day off from both jobs) to look at a white 05 mustang gt to match my 01 L and that car is freakin sweet! the 5 speed tranny is so smooth and it ran like a champ up to 110 (on back roads of the dealer) I definitely am going to buy this car! But no way Im giving up my L for it!

 

Trust me it's great to have both I bought an 05GT Vert for the wife(wink wink) 4 months ago. I never liked the older Mustangs but this one is sweet. Let the mods begin

 

I own both, u cant' go wrong with it. only issue you will have is which car to allocate mod money too!

 

I am still trying to talk my wife into getting herself one, but she always has an excuse.

 

Just do what I did and have her meet you at the Ford Dealer. Once she took a test drive she was hooked. I tried "talking her into it" for many months to no avail. The test drive is the key

 

I wish I could have that kind of luck with my wife. And, pardon my insanity for even PASSING THIS ONE ON, but as she says, "If it were a 4-door car, I'd consider it."

Sigh.....that's MY world......

 

If you cant talk her into a test drive, Some time while your out, stop by the dealer and with her abd take one out. She may grinch and groan but tell her you just want to drive one and see what it's like for yourself. Get about 2 miles away then stop, get out and tell her to drive. If she wont get out of teh passenger seat then start walking. Once she drives it back to the dealer then try and talk her out of getting it.

She may not budge that day... But don't say anything else about it after she has drove it. Soon she will think it is her idea and bam she tells you she thinks she needs one. Of coaurse play it out... "Really? I dont know........"

 

My problem is not that I need to be talked into one, it's talking the hubby into letting me have one and keeping my truck...He says I don't need two vehicles, and I'm not ready to give up my truck.

 

Have any of you 05+ MGT owners done any track days? I know the car has power, and handles pretty well - but I'd hate to be unhappy with the car's handling prowess compared to my rx8.
