I'm gonna help a friend this weekend setup his home computer network for a new DSL line. He has 6-7 phone jacks. With DSL I know each phone jack needs to be filtered. Rather than install a filter on every jack I had planned to split the signal as it enters the house. Install an unfiltered jack for the dsl. Run the second line through a filter then to a punchdown block which feeds the rest of the house. This should provide filtered jacks to the whole house with one filter.

Problems?

 

Thats what I did....no individual flters at the phones...no problems, either. I used a seicor NID box.....
