Linksys Wireless Network Help?

Previously, I had my 2 computers networked/shared via a wired Linksys BEFSR41 Cable/DSL Router and Road Runner "Hi-Speed" Cable modem. This past weekend I moved into a new apartment complex who's internet service provider is SBC/Yahoo DSL. In an attempt to go wireless I have purchased a Linksys WRT54G Wireless Router and two Linksys WMP54G Wireless-G PCI Adapter's. Being that this is my first wireless experience, can anyone post some type of guide for setting up the wireless network/sharing and security? Thanks.

Insert CD that came with Router. Follow instructions.

enable encryption, the 128 bit version.

disable broadcasting, unless you want to invite hackers. You can do this after you have everything working because it is easier to configure with broadcasting turned on.

change the default network name and router password - a MUST

install firewalls, software versions are fine, on your PCs

consider enabling MAC filtering in addition to encryption.

limit # of DHCP clients available instead of default of 50.

that is all off the top of my head, still realing from the ravens game.

I just set up a wireless access point. It was fairly easy. The one suggestion is with the security. When you set up the wireless security it asks for a "code word" wich then derives a HEX encryption number (actually it makes 4 different numbers) Copy one of these numbers and the use it in the same field when setting up the wireless PCI adapter on you computer(s). I think there's a way to just enter the codeword too.

Well, I guess I must be an idiot because I am having one hell of a time getting my wireless set up. I guess I need to do more research.
