The Titan is the only other truck my wife and I seriously considered before buying on the Ford Family Plan. In the end, pricing and the pleasure of owning a 1999 F150 for the last 6 years with no problems won us out.

My 04 F 150 is rated to tow 8500 Lbs 5.4, 4x4 17 inch wheal 355 LTD slip, long box, this is in the owners manual... For a 18 in wheal, you lose close to 500 lbs in towing, I would dbbl check your Ford oeners manual, I don't recall a seeing a F150 configuration that was rated to tow 9900 lbs.

This is like arguing about Fruit of the Loom or Hanes for pete's sake. This thread is all about personal opinions on towing and percieved performance. They both tow well, they are both nearly rated the same. Any owner that has to tow 4-tons with an F150 or Titan is retarded for not getting a SD w/ a PS. Buy whatever truck tickles your fancy and ****.

So the Titan motor makes more hp and more torque, both at lower rpm's than the F150. So, all other things equal (which they're not), yes the Titan would tow better.
Not really - I mean...perhaps...but unless we saw dyno plot showing HOW the peak power was made, quoting those peak numbers is meaningless.

For instance:

If the titan's dyno plot looks like this:

_________^-------, it means the power is 'not-there....not-there....not-there...then WHAM!' Think: S2000.

Get it?

This debate AGAIN? I personally don't care which tows better. The F150 is a MUCH more comfortable vehicle if you spend alot of time behind the wheel. Fords DECADES of experience leads the way year after year. Nissan makes a good truck, but they've got a long way to go before they are truly in Fords league.

The truck that no one buys...( But I would ) so it can't be compared to the Titan, The f-150 is more of a work truck, The Titan, SC SCREW F-150 are pretty close in towing...
