Wonder if global Warming is responsible . . .
LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- New observations by the international Cassini spacecraft reveal that Saturn's trademark shimmering rings, which have dazzled astronomers since Galileo's time, have dramatically changed over just the past 25 years.
Sure, it's Saturn, but my guess is Global Warming here on Earth is somehow responsible.

Yep....due to an increase in global CO2 levels the view we see is actually being distorted due to the addition of multiple layers of atmosphere we have to look through. The rings look just fine if you head up north and look through the hole in the ozone....no change from the viewpoint.

course....we could be jumping the gun and reading what WE assume you mean by global warming....but in a way...you ARE correct if you are reffering to "Saturn's" OWN global warming and not the Earth's.....
