Got in an accident today.
Today I was going to a Harley Davidson shop to pick up a pair of sunglasses and I was rear-ended. Some jackass in the car in front of me slammed on his brakes because he didn't know where he was going. So, I responded to that and slammed on my brakes. When I came to an almost complete halt, an owner of an 2004 GMC pickup hit me.
The only damage on my truck is chipped paint on my tailgate but the guy in the GMC got it bad. His front bumper shattered (made of fiberglass), the grill was in about five pieces, busted headlights, and a destroyed radiator. My truck has about 2 ft of ground clearance and his truck has about 7 in. I'm not proud that I got in an accident but I'm just happy my truck received less damage and we were both o.k. Damn, got in an accident for some sunglasses.

I was about to say - since GMC has ZERO steel reinforcement past the passenger cage, they couldn't have gotten you all THAT badly. That doesn't surprise me of all the damage that was done to that - not only are their trucks built to a VERY poor standard, their crash test ratings are DISMAL. The only thing you can do is smile and congratulate yourself for buying the REAL "right truck."
Sucks to hear that you got into a wreck. It's never fun having to deal with insurance, etc, but I must say that the claims process has gotten a little easier since the last time I was involved in a major accident a few years ago.
I hope those are some good a** sunglasses, man
