I can't stand it evertime I run a dodge with a hemi he hands me my A@@ Why can't ford just build the Hurricane engine so we ford guys could have something to cheer about!!!

Yeah been there a few times Glad to see there are some 'bama guy's on here. I don't know, It just makes me mad ford wont make a bigger engine to put that hemi in it's place.

 

Yeah, I hate this place! lol but yeah Ford could of fit a bigger engine than the 5.4 look at the room in the engine compartment! Oh well, get some mods like Xcal 2, intake,exhaust! make it better than the hemi!

 

They do, its called a supercharger from ford racing products put that on and hemis will be a little blip in your rear view.

I'm one of those guys that look at it like this...What if the hemi guy puts a supercharger on his truck to then what?? If you start with more HP like the hemi and all things are ''equal'' and both do the same thing then he still wins because he started with more HP than you. The bottem line is the hemi has more HP and ford need to do something about it.

 

True but ford has a whole lot more aftermarket engine stuff than dodge does. so when he puts a supercharger on his you put something else. now i have a 4.6 so eventually when all these mustang parts come out i think both motors from ford will kill chevy's, dodge's and anything else.

 

Yeah the aftermarket for Ford destroys chevy and dodge and nissan and toyota and jeep!

Seriously people.. most hemis are quicker, some are not. You gotta pick your battles. I went up against a 4x4 4 door hemi and won with just my measly 1714 tuner. Our 5.4s respond very well to mods and that initial 45hp advantage the hemi's have can be overcome. The bigger issue is weight... our trucks gotta lose some weight.

Are you serious? Have you seen the jeep aftermarket?! And the others have a good aftermarket selection as well... saying Ford has the largest is just silly.

 

Well.. not Jeep jeep is huge cause they just are jeeps and then Chevys are pretty big to! Prolly bigger than ford... Ford's is pretty big though I didn't mean it really

 

If you wanted a race car you should have bought one! These trucks are built heavy, and with alot of torque for working not racing! Hook a 5000 lb trailer to both of them and you will make him look silly. Im sure glad I dont have to drive a truck that gets 6 mile to the gal. just so a few can street race. If you want to prove something get that dodge to stop and park next to you and compare the way the trucks are built, he will probably leave you and trade that junk in for a real truck!!

 

Let's see how long it is before most of those Hemi's are huffing blue smoke out the tailpipe from the owners driving the ***** out of them. Ford went with durability over performance, our trucks will still be working long after most Dodges are on the scrapheap!

As far as the performance mods go, it is possible to beat the Hemi as long as he doesn't have all the same goodies you do.
