I'm just wondering how many of us are gonna hit the road with gas over $3.00/gallon this weekend, in our F-150's & above...

We are going about 150 miles to Abilene, TX to visit some friends. I will conserve, drive 75 instead of 80.

D is right, worthless thread.

As a general rule I tend to stay home on long weekends just because that's when everybody else is on the road. For some reason everyone else becomes a major a$$hole then too but not me.

Well, I'll be out there. 280ish miles to Connecticut, from there another 110ish to N. Jersey and then another 110ish back (with a van in tow) then parking it for the weekend. Then another 280ish back home to S.Jersey. So at about 14 mpg and $3.00 per gallon, I should burn up a cool $185 in fuel, then have to fill it up once im back in town for the next week. Guess Ill be staying at my bro's house to drink instead of going out. Not a big deal, its been cool up there at night, so we'll just start a fire and burn ***** all night and drink our a$$es off. Anyone close to Warren Connecticut that wants to join??

Gonna drive from Montgomery, AL, to Mandeville, LA, to assist bro-in-law and family in the salvage of their home. 700 mile round trip. Gotta carry tools, chainsaw, ladder, and other equipment. Most likely assist some of their neighbors in the process.

When you marry, sometimes a new family is in the package.

A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do!

Ya'll have a happy Labor Day.
