got a copy of "my ford"

Just got this in the mail the other day. It has a few pics of the 2006 F150.

The door handles appear to be Lincoln type with the painted buckets and chrome handles. Also is a picture of what I assume are Bright Stainless Lariat wheels.

As far as changes, it seems that the front bumper has changed. They no longer have the little drop under the grill. What I mean is if you have a chrome front bumper, the part under the grill that drops down is now straight across.

Not sure if you guys have seen this yet.

I have seen this, but I have read that only the handle is chrome and the bucket is still plastic and not painted like the LT.

Check out the new for 06 thread. It states all of these items, also the chrome handles and bright lariat wheels are only available on the chrome option, not standard.

Of course, those new 20" wheels are not themselves chromed! Kind of ironic that they're on the "chromed" package, huh!? They're still polished aluminum. Boo hiss! I'll pass.

20" wheels are not available with the Lariat chrome package.

"A new 20-inch wheel is available on FX4, Lariat and King Ranch"

Yeah, I do believe this is just a standalone option ... and not part of the "chrome" package. Nonetheless, it still bites that they don't do it in chrome.

Correct, they are not part of, or available with the chrome package. Would have been cool to have chrome 20" wheels. What was Ford thinking?
