for the people here on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and also our neighbors in Alabama and Louisiana. The devistation is unbelievable, folks. We currently don't have electricty or phone service, but I am counting my blessings that I have a home and my family is safe. There are people who will have nothing to go back to when they are allowed to return. It will be a long time before things are even close to being normal on the coast again. Thanks ahead of time for you prayers!

Done. I agree vader. We are trying to put something together here at work for Labor Day weekend. Donate a hundred or two from every car sold over the holiday and send the money to Red Cross. We also organized a big drive for canned food and bottled water etc and will deliver to N.O. Americans WILL stick together and get through this.

NAH, he is looting
We have people staying in Jonesboro at Motels from Nawleans. Some churches have been told to expect hundreds of refugees by weeks end. Radio stations are taking donations to feed them. My brother is on his way to Mississippi with the National Guard. We are miles away and it is affecting us. Truckers have donated trucks to haul bottled water down there. It is certainly a National Disaster of epic proportions. I was at a Farm Bureau meeting last night and they said the face of insurance would never be the same.
