Trading Car in Question(s)
I could 'maybe' understand wanting to get rid of a vehicle that you bought and it had all kinds of undetectable problems that popped up. But YOU hit the pothole, so YOU caused the damage. You could have been in any car and hit that pothole and caused damage, so wanting to get rid of the Focus doesn't make any sense.

Yes I did hit the pot hole, and yes I did cause the damage. What I find rediculious is that a 2003 Focus gets a bent tie rod and it's toe is thrown out -5.35 degrees, when last night my friend in a 1994 Honda Civic hit the same hole going 30 mph faster, and nothing is noticibly wrong with his car.
It also makes me want to get ride of it because for no reason whatsoever I get up to go to work and it won't run. When it finally starts it's really lumpy and barely will move. Cause? Unknown. Problem? Cylinder #4 missfire, and coil pack misengage.
Then on top of that, after I did the burn-outs I had the tires rotated and aligned. Nothing wrong. Two months later the tires that were rotated had the inner belts showing, mind you these tires were on the rears when I did the burn-outs. The tires that did the smoking were fine. Two months later and my toe out is so badly out of shape that my insides of both front ties are showing the belts?
You're right, why on earth would I want to replace my Focus?
Umm any vehicle can get out of alignment... It dosen't necesarilly always take a pot hole. FYI Going around corners to fast is the most common cause of throughing tow-in off. Second is just a loose tie rod adjuster. It really is not the cars fault you didn't notice the problem sooner and have it re-alighned. A few days at 5* toe either in or out, is not going to wear your tires out. It's been out of alighnment for a long time.
Heck My truck had brand new tires on it when I bought it. They still had the nipples on the tread. I drove it 60 miles to get it home then went 1/4 mile down my dirt road to my house for the first time and busted a belt! They were cheap tires! So I put a decent set on and no more troubles. There was no way I was going to get rid of my truck epsecially the first day I had it!

PSS is right (God, it hurts typing that). The biggest problem is that you don't pay attention to your car or notice when small things start needing attention. If you had noticed the alignment thing earlier and fixed it, you wouldn't be needing new tires now. And as far as the car running rough, just find the root cause and FIX IT. Cars don't fix themselves. Most people just keep driving their cars and complaining about how it's a POS because such-and-such is broken , but they never bother fixing all the little PITA things that are broken! Then when they have a $2000 list of problems, they say the car is a POS and dump it (at a huge loss) so they can buy another car and start running it into the ground.
I realize you are young and don't have the benefit of 10-15 years of maintaining your own vehicles, but now is the time to start. Otherwise you will be in debt for the rest of your life paying huge money on car payments for vehicles you no longer can drive.
