Insurance question! Help!

I'm supposed to receive delivery of my new 05 Supercrew today..

HOWEVER - New Florida law - If there is a named storm in the ocean anywhere, you can't start a new policy with comp coverage until it's gone. I can have collission, but not comp.

SOooooo - I might not be able to get my new truck until next week sometime because of this. Does anyone happen to know a work around for this? Do dealers have any coverage that can be extended? I have a call into them and they are working on it, but I figured I'd post here as well.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Screw it man. You dont want the hassle. Just be patient and make sure anything that goes wrong is their problem not yours.

Heh - not familiar with your prior situation?

Either way - Dealer came up with a solution. They're going to give me a tag/reg/ins info that they give out for test drives. I'm signing papers tonight, then we'll come back in on Monday and switch the tag over to our tag.
