Did anyone watch this show on discovery channel? I guess it's a car show and they were talking about the Ford GT, a land Rover, and the old Chargers.
He went on test runs with all of them and he got up to like 180 MPH in the GT. He put on a set of goodyear MTR's on the landrover and drove it over some mountains
. I wasnt paying that much attention when they were driving the charger. It came on at 9, I guess I should have told you guys so you could have watched it.

i've cought it a couple times. My favorite was when the prooved a 84 Toyota pickup is invincible. They like hit it with a wrecking ball, put it atop an exploding 20 story building and a whole bunch of stuff. A mechanic with only hand tools and no spare parts was able to get it going every time.
He was beating on that GT pretty good, man do I want one.
They also had a nun driving a monster truck and grannys doing smokey doughnuts with a Honda. My wife even sat and watched that.

I've been watching it for a bit and it's very entertaining..... The British seem to enjoy their automobiles, even with them having to pay double what we are for gas....
I like the couple of 'events' they have done when Jeremy (the tall one) took an Austin Martin DB 9 or was it the Vanquish? (sp?) and he's done it using a Ferrari as well and would 'race' the other two guys using a combination of trains, busses and even an airplane to get from their studio in England to some posh place in Europe some 600 or so miles away...
In each instance so far, the CAR has won! Pretty cool and the good ol' British humor always comes thru.
They also have gone out and bought whatever Porsche they could find for no more then 750 'quid' or 'pounds' or whatever they call their money! Works out to around $1500 at any rate.... Then drive them some distance and rack up points for repairs, breakdowns and such.... Like I said, pretty entertaining IMO....

Having been watching motoring programs on both sides of the Atlantic for many years I can categorically state that "Top Gear" is quite the best motoring program you will ever see.
Trouble is, it is totally honest...especially Clarkson who is very opinionated.
He doesn't hold back when he thinks something is no good.
Many major motor manufacturers really fear what he will say because it will have a profound effect on sales.
Unfortunately he recently tested an F150 and I watched rather hoping he would like it...having owned 3 Stateside !
He was NOT impressed, especially with build quality.
That is because he is somewhat anti US for reasons I've never quite fathomed.
He has presented many other types of program including a chat show where famously a map of the world was the studio background.
The area where the US should be was blank !!
He seems to be biased according to whim.
He once presented a series of programs on the world's ultimate machines...and got a ride round the course at the Reno Air Races....at full bore. He loved it except......
He was somewhat ill !
Having said all that it IS still the best motoring program you will see, and in the States you CAN buy the monthly "Top Gear" magazine shipped over from the UK.
It's worth looking out for.

I found it hard to believe he did not say anything negative about the Ford GT since it is an american car. Maybe it has something to with him owning one. Seems he is always talking down anything american I watched the video with him driving the new c6 vette and he dogged it making fun of the plastic bumpers and such
He loved the GT until he had to send it back !!!
There were so many faults with it, it became a standing joke on the program.
He had looked forward to its arrival for so long and kept reminding everyone that he was getting one of the first in Europe...
Then the alarm kept going off, in the middle of the night and a whole string of other niggling problems...then to cap it all he put his back out and couldn't even get into it !!!
