That Other Board LOL
The site has changed name a few time. It is here now http://ftw.truckmoxie.com/forums/ or http://fordtruckworld.tenmagazines.com/
I agree that it has become too commercial and slow but I still visit a few of the forums there. I visit this site a little more but this one and FTW are my favorites.
Chris Duke left the board and site a few months ago and I think it is suffering in his abscence. Here is when he left http://fordtruckworld.tenmagazines.c...will_be_missed
I am a subscriber to the magazine and enjoy reading it but I do not think I will renew when my subscription runs out. It started as a monthly publication and now it is a quarterly one, so my 3 year subscription is now good for 12 years, I guess.

I was ( until recently ) a member over there (ftw) ' cuz I liked the Ma. chapter forum and talking to fellow Ma. folk, BUT recently had a run in with
one of the over opinionated webmasters about James Hetfields rig, so I haven't been back since. I really don't have time to argue with someone that
overplays his position.... If I wanted too do that I would just kiss my boss's
butt and that ain't gonna happen either ....

I used to be a staff member over there, and still hang out occasionally, but right now I spend about 80% of myforum time (not counting the one I run for Colorado folks) here, FTW because a site about selling rather then enthusiasts, theri magazine really blows, how many times can they run the same exact articles and expect no one to notice? Anyways my predicition is that the magazine won't make it another year, and the site won't last a whole lot longer then that. Their fundamental problem because when the advertisers came before anything else, and their advertisers weren't encessarily that great, so if anyone posted up a better deal if it conflicted with one of their ongoing deals or advertisers the posts were removed, and members often asked to leave. I foudn a discount ofr local members at a ford dealership on parts and was told ot not advertise it because of the conflict it brought up with their online parts dealer. Absolute bull****.

Half a Decade? Jeez. Time does fly. Wonder if there are any posters still around for longer, other than Steve himself

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot is a Mailing list ?
long before forum software was widely used, f150online had a mailing list. Basically, you'd say I have a problem or question, so you'd send it to f150list@f150online.com or whatever and the question would go to everyone subscribed to the list, so if there was 150 members, then your email would go to 150 members. Then if someone had the answer or could help you out, they'd email back and the response would go to all 150 members, etc. It was kind of like writing it out on stone tablets, but it got the job done, LOL.

Kelly, who runs that site, is a great guy.
