photoshop question

Question photoshop question

When pasting an image into another picture, how do you resize the image that is going to be paste into the other picture? Do you do before or after you pates it into the other picture?

ctrl-t free transform after pasting it in is simplest.

I to it by cutting out the layer of what I wanna change size on, then paste it into a new window, resize, and move back. There is prolly a better way, but thats how I do it.

Ditto for me.

If the image you place is larger than the viewable area of the orginal pic then you can ctrl + (-) til you have zoomed far enough out then ctr + t to free transform. Tip when resizing with free transform (ctrl + t) hold shift while clicking and dragging the corner to maintain porportion and not skew or distort it. Then once it's with in the borders of the original pic hit ctrl + Ins to fit image to screen, then continue to adjust til desired size is reached.
