Just got an email. Everybody is going to NOT buy gas just for one single day at the same time in protest. The day of this protest is SEPTEMBER 10th. One week from this coming Sat. So due your part and don't buy gas Sept. 10th. If everybody in the nation could just do this small part for one day, imagine the hit the oil companies would take just for one day. MM

I'm down! Arco "Aquagas" here in Oregon is the cheapest at $3/gal right now. Unfortuneately, I'll have to buy gas sometime but, September 10...they're not getting my money!

Still proud of my 11-12mpg F150,
Dan

mid ga prices

tuesday a.m.: 2.48 (i filled up then)
tuesday p.m.: 2.60
wednesday p.m. 2.99
thursday p.m. 3.20

so, gas now costs 30% more than it did on monday. couple that with the fact that gas is up 50% in the last year, and we're all seriously screwed. that 10 lb. bag of potatoes is about to go from $2.50 to $6.00 along with everything else. i think we're all in for a world of hurt.

i parked my truck. i've driven it one day this week (tuesday when i filled up). fortunately, my wife has an escort that gets about 32 mpg, and we have been carpooling. it stinks because it still costs nearly $40 to fill it up. this is an '02, and i can remember when we could fill it for like $12. i'll say it again. we're screwed.

Thumbs up

I agree. I think that we should do something to show these doofuses that we are tired of paying such a high price to drive our vehicles. I will also not be buying gas on the 10th.

That's bull*****! I'm not buying gas on the 10th either. I won't need to buy gas on the 10th. Everyone who doesn't buy on the 10th will buy on another day and the whole thing will be a wash for the oil companies anyway.

If we all picked one company to not buy oil from for a month, that would send a message to that one company. That would be month of profits they would never get back. Exxon and Texaco come to mind, since their stations tend to charge more for a gallon of gas than any of the others do, no matter what the average price is.
