Just got my second f-150, new to this forum

Just bought an '05 xlt supercab 4x4. My other F150 was the same model but an '01. Wow what a difference a few years makes, way nicer in about every way.

Been daily-driving the cobra for about 2 months and really enjoying this last week of driving the truck. Sitting so high again, rides like a comfy couch too.

Been browsing the forum you have here and enjoying some posts and information.

I imagine some of you are into hunting, as I am, bow/rifle for deer. Also like drag racing my Cobra, love nascar too. Lions fan, Tigers fan, huge RED WINGS fan.

Welcome....

based on your board name I'm trying to figure out if you are a recent casuality of the ban wars and are incognito....

Regardless....

Welcome aboard.

Nope, postban has been my name on every board since about '98 on the old AR15.com

Refers to rifle configurations, preban or postban, nothing to do with my having been banned anywhere.

I am a big gun and hunting enthusiast as well- but to busy farming to ever have time in nice weather to do much shooting- do most of my target shooting in the winter- brrrrrrrrrrr

anyways welcome aboard and check out my gallery for a hunting pic- several of us have hunting and fishing pics in our galleries.

I'll give the 300 I6 one thing. It's got more torque than it knows what to do with!

But it doesnt suck enough gas! With all of the sissies whining with thier "Are you ready to get rid of your V8 because of the high price gas yet" threads thats been showing up... I am determined to suck as much freaking gas as I can now! This way I can boast about only getting 4 mpg and then laugh at them as I tell them, nope I wont get rid of it!

Edited to add:
Technically that is hogwash though... My 69 F100 I had as my first truck was a 240 or 300 I6, w/ 3 on the tree. I can't remember if it was teh 240 or 300 but I drove it a year with it in it. I transplanted a 302 in it's place and that increased my gas mileage considerably, lost torque but gained HP... Yea it was a lot more fun then!
