anyone do online shopping for motorcycle accessories?

purchased a 2005 harley davidson 883 sportster last night and will be picking it up early next week.

sold my last bike around 4 years ago, so i have not done any recent accessory shopping.

going to pick up a new helmet, and was wondering if anyone here has used the web to make their accessory purchases. did some searches here, but the results i found were from several years ago, and i was looking for more current info if anyone has it.

i checked out the dennis kirk catalog online today, but was wondering if anyone has any other places to recommend to shop online.

any good info would be appreciated.

Check out www.accwhse.com

It's one of my stops when I'm comparing prices.

thanks for the responses, and i did check both recommended sites.

ended up making my purchase at ridegear . com.

shipping was free, and price was way better than kirk. hopefully it will all work out fine.

Some other good ones are MAW, Chapparel, and Ron Ayers. Ron Ayers has unbelievable prices on Shoei. Glad to see other riders wearing helmets too. The other day a girl with a HD told me she never wears a helmet because she likes the "wind in her face". I told her I did too but I don't like "asphalt embedded in my face" / . Not to mention you have to be tough and disiplined to wear a helmet when it is 100 degrees outside.

i am very happy that new jersey has a helmet law. when i was younger and rode out of state where they didnt have the laws i did ride without the helmet. i tried it a few times, but then put the helmet back on even though it wasnt required by law.

years ago i remember getting whacked in the head with a big piece of wood, and afterwards was thankful of the full face helmet i was wearing.

i was on the fence now with getting a 3/4 helmet, or sticking with the full face. i remember how bad the fulls suck in the heat, but thought back to the wood hitting me, and again went with the full face.

I have purchased from (with good results):
www.gforcecycles.com
www.kneedraggers.com
www.helmetharbor.com
www.mawonline.com
www.starcycle.com
www.azmotorsports.com

No matter what lies people will try to tell you, always wear a full-face helmet. There is a reason the guys that race 200mph bikes wear full leathers and full face helmets. And it's not to impress the chicks...

KC-10 FE out...

Down the road, consoder www.chromethathog.com if you want to add some chrome. They have a chrome exchange program, or you can send in your own parts. I never ordered from them, but I've heard of some good results from those who have. I replaced many parts on my bike with chrome Harley parts because I didn't know about companies like this one and threw away many $$$ because of it. I won't make that mistake again.

Just food for thought...
