we ordered so much last yr at once we got 2 free t- shirts

no knuckle sammiches however

I have finally perfected my BBQ sauce. If your ever in the area, give me a shout out and we can BBQ. Everyone loves my BBQ sauce.

I wish I could eat hot and spicey foods again. Acid Reflux is a sumbish. It's worse then this damn 60 second rule.

No offense, but living down here in Texas I guess I've never thought of Rudy's (I'm assuming you're talking about the BBQ place) as anything special -- just another place to go get BBQ!

Guess it's kind of like all the folks who go to Hawaii and get pineapples!

 

Most of the best BBQ I've eaten was from small, privately owned places. And almost every one was ruined by popularity. The thing that made the BBQ great was the personal care and preparation by the 'master BBQ chef'. With an explosion of popularity, those duties are typically passed off to hired hands with a prepared formula to follow. Prepackaged goods are substituted for homemade and the kid slinging the pork on the plate is more concerned with his date after work than your meal.

Sorry but by the time a place gets famous, the food isn't as good as it used to be. One local example would be BubbaLou's Bodacious BBQ. 10 years ago they rocked my world, today they are above average.

When I got out of the tech field and started doing it as a hobby, I realized that was what was causing it to flare up so bad. I would get so stressed out that I could not eat anything for 2 or 3 days or more because it hurt so bad! Went to the doc and he gave me a prescription for Zantac. That wouldn't even touch it! I eat very little salt I don't like potato chips very often and I hate french fries. I use to have an Iron stomach! I blame the customers from when I was doing help desk for killing it! Guess I shouldn't have cared that much, it wasnt really my problem and no one was going to die if they didn't have thier internet!
