yamaha raptor 700

thinking about getting one in november, been riding my 2000 YZ250 for the last 2 years since my 03 raptor got stolen shortly after i bought it but it is time to go back to 4 wheels for awile, the dirtbike just kicks my *** and the quad is so much fun in the dunes compared to the dirtbike, the new 06 raptor is 700 cc and feul injected saw one on saterday and they look great, i just hope the price goes down since they are the newest hotest thing out i cant get the dealers to come down on the price ($6900) i need to get a new toy since riding season is coming soon, i cant wait to hit the desert

The season is coming up? When is sand dune season? Also, when you got yours stolen, were you reimbursed for the stolen property or were they uninsured or does atv insurance not cover theft?

oct 31 start of riding season here in So. Cal. it will be cool enough to go to ocittillo wells but not to Glamis or the imperial sand dunes it will still be close to the 100s down there but it should be in the 80s in ocitillo wells, when my quad got stolen i had no insurance i was totally out of pocket, i recomend geting theft insurance if you live in cali, that is for sure

from what i have read in stock form head to head 06 450 and 06 700 the 700 will walk away the whole time stays about 2-3 lenghts ahead, this is stock form mind you, but nothing i own stays stock long so when i get the 700 the moding will begin, i will find out my buddy gots a heavy modded 04 450 first chance i get i will see how my stock 700 matches up and then after mods, the new 700 uses the same brakes and suspension as the new 06 450 so they should be even in the hadling department the 700 is slightly heaver
