What jamz just did reminds me of something I did years ago. My boss's wife was a nurse and she and her teenage daughter were in front of me in the gocery check out line. I was used to seeing her in her white uniform and she had on normal street clothes. When I realized who it was, i said "Patsy, I didn't recognize you with your clothes on." She got a big laugh out of it. The daughter and I were embarassed and the checker didn't know what to think. I quickly explained it.
