Invalid Thread?!? WTF?!?! Log in again?!?!?!

What the hell is going on with the forums lately? Am I the only one experiencing this, or is this a server problem, or what . . . .

Ever since Wednesday, I log on, find something I want to reply to (usually in Ask Kobi™), type in my answer, hit "Submit Reply" and then the damn log in screen pops up telling me I need to log-in (which I had already done). If I waste my time doing that . . . again . . . it then takes me to a page that sez "Invalid Thread", with some babble about how the thread I'm searching for is invalid . . . which is interesting because I was just in that thread typing an answer . . . fortunately I discovered if you hit the "back" button a couple of time I can get back to the response I typed. copy the text . . . but I still have to then re-login, go back and open up the post, hit the reply button again, and then paste my copied answer, then hit submit again....

While typing this rant I am beginning to suspect that this may be a time issue. As the responses in Ask Kobi tend to be long, maybe something is timing out....

But why now? I've had long responses before in my thread and it didn't start doing this till Wednesday . . .

WTF?!?!?!

(Yeah, it's pissing me off)

I'm going to go get some coffee.

Anyone know what's going on? Is this only happening to me?

OK...I'm calmed down now, but I'm still curious as to what's happening. . . .

Thanks ahead of time for any insight anyone can provide.

kobi-

Yes sir. I have had the same problem in the past. Usually, it's when I'm posting a long winded thread. I've figured that if my post is going to take more than 5 minutes to get done, I will open Word, type my stuff there, and then copy and paste to the post window.

Maybe a mod can give us a clue???

Sometimes your cookie for this forum can get corrupted. Happened to me about a week ago. I went into my cookies and deleted the two from this site. I hate deleting all my cookies because I then have to log back in on every forum I'm on, as well as several other PITA websites. It's easier if they remember me. Wait thirty minutes, then come back and log back in, reset your preferences and see if the problem is gone.
