Talking Any Paintballers?

I had a VL. In about a month I'm going to a Ariakon SIM-4 R.I.S Elite paintball rifle. Buying the rifle will leave a big hole in my wallet. $600 Anyone on this site play paintball?

I used to... until guys started getting too serious and buying $600 markers than spending another $600 to make it fire25 rounds/second.

At some point, some players decided this was as serious as a real war... and forgot its just a game.

I play old school with my Bob Long Millenium. It's a pile of crap. Thinking about getting that bad-**** Tippman A1 thingy. I never should have gotten rid of my Tippman Pro-lite. Wow I'm old.

You could buy a real gun for that much.

Yeah, but when you unload your 200-round hopper on someone you don't end up in front of a judge for Murder-1.

Got to love the Tipmann M98, put a flat line on it and you're good to go, but I do miss my vintage VM-68. I used to play a lot in college, but now it's too hard to find anyone to play who isn't a 12 year old with a pump or a 40 year old weekend warrior with a $1000 gun.

Some players play as serious as a real war because some of the things in war do apply in paintball. Like squad tactics and communication.

A new M4 costs about $2500. You can get an AR-15 for $1200. I can get a Smith and Wesson Model 500 revolver for $900. A M60 for $7500. Beneli Semi-automatic 12 guage shotgun for $1300. A Desert Eagle for $1250. And a .50 caliber sniper rifle for$7200. All the rifles and pistols I want are much more expensive. $600 is not enough.

Those prices seem a little high. I think that I might have paid a little more thna $600 for my Browning Gold Shotgun about 4 years ago. I know that you can get some pretty decent guns for $600. I can hunt ducks all day long with my $250 Remington 870. I can also hunt turkey and deer with the same gun. I make enough money to buy whatever gun I want, but there is no point in seeing how many high dollar guns I can fill my closet up with.

Oh my god, how did I miss this post. Iam ate up with paintball. Started out about 12yrs ago with the little Nelspots pistols. Then went to a Tippmann SL68-II. I've had way too many guns to list. I play mostly tournament speedball for team here, and still play from time to time with my old team.
My son started playing a little over 3yrs ago. Hes already running circles around. He plays for the Asylum kids team, they have already pulled him up to
play on the open division team, which is mostly adults.
As far as price for the guns......Ive got toooo much money in them now.
Still want more. Heres a couple pics. Notice, the yellow band around the Red Adrenalin Impulse.....thats the inspection band the put on my gun when our team played at the World Cup last year!!!

Used to be big time into pb, but money and lack of time has slowed that down a little. When i play i shoot my old school spyder TL. After a good bit of mod. she olds her own against these new fancy rigs. Course a man with ***** shooting the marker is who you gotta watch, not some $1000 pb gun that knows your name.

My brother jokingly suggested to my Son who has several custom trucks to mount a paintball gun behind the grill with a switch on the dash.... Told him thanks alot, cause my son is crazy enough to want to do that!
