August the 8th she will be 9 months old. She is my best friend and the smartest dog I have ever had. Shes very loyal and just wants to be near me. If I am watching TV, shes right there laying on the floor next to me, if I get up to go anywhere, shes my shadow.

When I have Sadie "sit" she doesn't sit straight down, she almost leans to one side and sits on one hip when she sits. Is that a sign of the hip problems I have been hearing about? ...and if so, can it be corrected? I dont know too awful much about Labs, she is my first. I have always had mutts.

thnx
Doesn't quite sound like Canine Hip Dysplasia, but you'll want to keep an eye on her. Unfortunately, Hip Dysplasia is very common amongst Labs (due to their extreme popularity, many backyard breeders and puppy mills simply breed their dogs to make some money, with no regard to animal health). There is no gaurantee that a dog will or will not get this disease. you can read more about it here: http://www.glucosamine-arthritis.org...dysplasia.html
