Well my main income is off of another job that I hate right now. Grew up on a rice farm. Dad and my oldest brother farm 500 acres of rice and 500 acres of beans. I am there on the farm everyday when I leave work, and every free minute I get. I want to do it so bad I can't stand it, but man it's tough starting out from basically nothing.

Now John Deere or Case IH....

NEITHER

We use Fendt and Massey Ferguson equipment. That is VERY unusual in these parts.
The Fendt tractor is amazing. Airride, Vario transmission, 35 mph down the road. It's a 180 hp tractor, but I'd hook it on any 8310 I've drove and pull it backwards. I've drove em all and I think the Fendt is the Mack Daddy.

Now if you wanna talk older tractors, I'm Case IH all the way baby! I have a Super C that I'm fixing up. Love old Farmalls.

I'm a "farmer wanna be".

I live in town now. I grew up in the country. You can take the man out of the country, but you can NEVER take the country out of the man.

I live on a small lot in town, and grow a garden every year. If city ordinance would allow it, I raise a few chickens too. Here's a couple pics of the garden last year:
tomatoes, green beans, yellow squash, and cucumber:

I wish I would have taken pics of my tomatoes this year..they were outstanding.

first of all i'd like the say thanks for posting.
in summary
we grow/raise
cotton, soybeans, peanuts, corn, kidney beans, small grain, hay, rice, tomatoes, green beans, yellow squash, cucumber, cow calf pairs, holstein feeder cattle, and a herd of 2 red brahman cows.
well all i can say is atleast we won't go hungry.

as far as tractor type we are mainly Johndeere with one new holland in the mix.

we did have a case 7120 tractor and a 2055 cotton picker, but the closest case dealership is about 35 miles from here, where johndeere and new holland dealers are only 15 mile away, thats why we sold them.

btw professor please e-mail me, have a question to ask you.

now on to my truck.
sajeffc thanks for the compliment, i love my truck. the lift is a procomp 6" noncoil-over that me and a white99 installed. there is more pics in my gallery
