New To the Site.

This is one of the BEST forums I have come across bar none. I recently sold my 2000 Super Duty Powerstroke Crew Cab and bought my current truck last Sat. Its a 99 F-150 5.4Triton Lariat 4x4 4 door, flareside. LOADED! 1 owner I have been looking around this site and have become rather at all the issues these trucks have. The plug popping out issue, the exhaust manifold stud issue, the door crack issue. I havent found any others yet. Im pretty shocked with this info. I had no idea. I sold the Super Duty to rid myself of thier own known problems....cam sensor(which stranded me), The clutch set-up blowing apart....among a few others. Anyhow I do like this truck, but WTF! I guess its like preaching to the choir. But Its goin to be nice to be apart of this site!

99Flare, welcome.

Now remember people come to this site and post when they have problems, not when everything is ok. So it may seem like these trucks have alot of problems and some prolly do but the vast majority are trouble free. You just don't here about them ones.
Enjoy your truck and take care of it and it will take care of you. I have a 99 and it had a couple of set backs but nothing too bad. (blown plug)

YOU SOLD A LOADED SIX SPEED with out TELLING ME!!!
Oh yeah, I mean that thing was tainted, I shoulda taken it of your hands and delt with all of those problems... hahahha

No really, no one comes on and makes a post sayin, "Yo, truck ran good today, no problems, nice ride" all the time. So you see a slanted view.

These are all outstanding trucks and shouln't give you impossible to solve problems.

Welcome!

This is an awsome site with a whole bunch of cool people. I think you'll really enjoy it. Take a good look at all the forums. There is a ton of cool stuff here.

By the way, my truck runs quite well and has been basicly trouble free since I bought it. This one hasn't been babied either. I think you'll be just fine with that '99.

Enjoy. Learn lots, and ask lots. I have had absolutely no problems with my truck since new in 2000. I just sat in the wings and read everything I could for quite some time. Do whatever you feel you can do, and afford.

Maybe somebody should do that everyday.

Had a 2000 that ran perfect for 4 years.
