Conversion Trucks (Do they still exist?)
Conversion Trucks (Do they still exist?)
When I was stationed at Fort Hood, conversion pick-ups is what made me fall in love with trucks. Prior to that- I never saw myself owning a truck.
Even then 99% of the conversion trucks I saw were either Chevy or GMC; those old 1992 - 1994 Flareside Ford's were available as conversion models- but if 100 conversion trucks rode past you, only one would be a Ford; maybe two.
Now; I rarely see ANY conversion trucks... Do the Conversion companies still make (enhance) them?
I used to see Texas Stagecoaches, Mariah's, Mariah GT's, etc... Now I don't see any...
Conversion trucks- are you still living?

A couple decades ago there was a local company that sold thousands of conversion vans (Tropic Traveler). The local dealer was very prominent in tv and radio ads. His vans were everywhere, you saw them on a daily basis. He closed up shop about 10 years ago and I don't see any conversion vans around any more. Once in a while I'll see a pickup done by Choo-Choo Customs.
