Indicator

When the Low Fuel indicator comes on, how much gas do I have left in the tank? I do alot of driving during the day and I am always in a hurry. I sure would like to know how much gas I have left. I am a proud new owner of 2005 F-150 with the 27 gallon tank.

Thanks in advance to those who are squirrelly like me.

That should be just enough to get you to the next gas station. It's supposed to come on around 1/8 tank.

This is easy to figure.

When the light comes on, fill up.

(27 gallon tank) minus (how much you put in) equals (how much was in there)

All the tanks can't be 27 or by the numbers I've got 5.97 gallons left in at low fuel light level. If they are then awesome, I won't worry on the freeway anymore.

Just curious
