Hi,

If you are buying before August 1st you can use the current employee pricing for the public deal. This is equal to ford A plan which is 4% lower than X plan.

Looks like I'm going off too the dealer this week.

Thanks

Funny, I had a customer who insisted on using their X-plan until I explained to them today that "A-PLAN is a better deal." It took me about 20 minutes to explain that while the desk guy is sitting there waiting and waiting and waiting. Freaking people! Good luck with your purchase.

O.K. So I'm a little confused1
The boys in the Lightning form said the x-plan is better. I just want the best deal without the haggle. A-plan, X-plan????

What is the difference????

Thanks for any help.

X-plan is what Ford's partner's (suppliers, etc.) get -- it's around invoice
A-plan is what Ford employees get -- like 4% below X-plan
If you negotiate, you can get below both. Talk to the dealer's internet group. They usually aren't as pushy.
Try www.fordpartners.com before you go and when you request a quote, you'll get a response from an internet/fleet sales person. I had a great experience that way/

I just purchased with X-plan July 7th.
The deal was better for me on that day by $600.00 due to rebates as follows.

MSRP 45315.00
X plan on my FX4 was 41149.68 less 3250 in rebates. (37899.68)
The new A plan deal would have been 39503.69 less 1000 in rebates. (38503.69)

A Plan = Dealer invoice less 2%, less any holdback, less dealer cash, and less rebates. (also no documentation fee $195.00)

X Plan = Dealer invoice plus 2%, less any holdback, less dealer cash, and less rebates.

A PLan is usually better but the rebates changed when they started the employee for every one deal.

There is also 0% financing for 48 months

I hope this helps you out.

I don't know if it's because you're in Canada, but that is not how the X-Plan works down here. From https://www.fordpartner.com/HowItWor...works_home.asp

Version 1.03 posting date: 6/10/05

Introduction

The New Vehicle Purchase Plan (X-Plan) also known as the Partner Recognition Program, is offered by Ford Motor Company to the employees, retirees and spouses of selected tier 1 suppliers, business partners, [...]

This document contains a detailed description of the Plan, your rights and responsibilities, and those of the dealer [...]

· X Plan prices is within 1% of dealer invoice price.

[...]

X-Plan

Pre-determined price based on dealer invoice or A-Plan price depending on brand. The X-Plan price is noted on the dealer invoice (except for
Land Rover and Jaguar)

Ford/Mercury
Invoice minus 0.4% of Invoice

Lincoln
Invoice plus 0.6% of Invoice

Volvo
A-Plan + 2% of A-Plan

Land Rover
Invoice plus 4% of Invoice (excluding Regional Advertising Group fee and destination & delivery fee).

Jaguar
Invoice plus 4% of Invoice (excluding Advertising Association Fee and destination & delivery fee).

For specific vehicle plan pricing, visit the Vehicles & Pricing page. Pricing of in-stock dealership inventory is available for Ford, Lincoln and Mercury dealerships. Detail pricing sheets are available for Volvo, Mazda, Jaguar and Land Rover.

· S-Plan

Pre-determined price based on Mazda Employee price ("E-Plan") and noted on the dealer invoice

Mazda
E-Plan + 5.3%

To view detailed vehicle pricing information on Mazda products, go to our Vehicles & Pricing page

Also, in the US (or at least in CO), our rebates are about the same:

Prior to the Family Plan, there was $2,000 cash back and $1,000 cash for using Ford Credit.

After Family Plan, there is $2,500 cash back.

Good luck.

"after family plan there is a $2500 cash back"

Does that mean if I go with the family plan I will get $2500 cash back or the dealer get it back...

I can get cost for a GM vehicle no problem, as I am a Pilot for a auto auction and one of the contracts is GMAC but I really want a new FORD

Just don't know much about the Ford plans...

Thanks

I don't know if the incentives are the same in Canada as they are in US. You'll have to check on that.

In the US, there is a $2,500 cash incentive for the customer (at least for F-150 SCrews). There is also a Home Depot incentive that allows you to choose from several merchandise packages or take another $500 cash. There are other incentives as well that apply to certain groups of people (military personnel, recent college graduates, etc.).

Everyone in the US is elligible for:
1) A-Plan pricing
2) $2,500 cash from standard incentive
3) $500 cash from Home Depot

Check Ford's website for more info ... it's a good site with lots of info.

Also, as a general rule of thumb -- if you know that the dealer is getting an incentive (a factory to dealer incentive), then you can get your hands on it yourself.

You people who think you deserve every penny of profit from the dealer really **** me off! They need to make a living just like you. Even when they roll out a plan like the employee plan, you still think you deserve further discount. What is wrong with you people? Do you have jobs? Do you work for free? Of course not. Why would you? Go buy the truck you want not because of the deal you got because it's the one you like. Truth be told Old navy probably makes more money on a pair of pants than most sales people make on a new vehicle sale. Your buying a vehicle not a rebate. My $.02, rant over.
