Hey jmeyerholtz this might be getting picky, but why don't the extension lines on your dimensions line up with the edges of the part? It is most noticeable on the 2.000 and to some extent on the 3.000. It might just be the screen grab, but they look a little off. I look at 3-D parts for 40+ a week, so things like this sort jump out at me. If you are the only person to look at the part it might not be too big of deal, but from a technical standpoint they should be in line with the edge with a slight gap between the edge of the geometery and the dimension line.

Joe

P.S. I ain't trying to bust your *****, just tring to save you some embarasment when your old cranky co-worker goes, "WTF is this *****, this looks like total a$$". Don't ask me how I know about this.

i was talking to a guy at a machine shop sales and he sold a lathe to a guy that had long hair. well about a year later his hair got cought in the chuck and it threw him over the machine and wraping him around the chuck till it pulled his hair out killing him in the process. and i have also heard about some one who was using a file on a late and had the jaw from the chuck hit the end of the file slaming the handle threw the plam of his hand. this story has made me think every time i pick up a file and use it on a lathe.

i worked with a guy that got his hair caught in a drill chuck running @1800 rpm in a bridgeport...took the side of his scalp right off..about the size of a fist right down to the bone just above his right ear..that was 3 years ago and he's still getting hair replacement surgery to this day...and NEVER use a file without the wooden handle on the tang..yes it will slice your palm up real bad..loose clothing, neck chains, rings, and such do not mix with machinery..and when you get "bit" by a machine...no they do not say "im sorry"..and i've been bit a few times resulting in lots of stiches to stop the bleeding(i only need 2 more for 500 )...zap!

your better off with fine threads when making pullers
go with 3/8 24 instead and put a round(ball) shaped end on it so it wont "dig" into the steering shaft
