Family/Money Troubles
Well, this is a really wierd situation that none of us want to deal with. It is a situation of betrayal by family over money. Heres the deal. Several years ago my great uncle passed away. He was the lead engineer for Merck Pharmaceuticals, so you can imagine the amount of money he had. He always said that when he died my family, as well as all his other relatives, would not have to worry about money ever again. He always took care of any finances between him and his wife. Before he died, she did not even know how to write a check. She asked their daughter to take care of the money after he died, because she had no idea what to do. Now heres the problem. He had an extensive Will, but it was never probated, so the money was never split up. Since then, their daughter has pretty much taken much of the money for her and her extremely rich lawyer husband to build some mansion in Nantucket, without asking to use any of the money. Now, my great aunt is just heartbroken because her and her daughter wont even talk to each other.
Now, my family is definately not hurting for money, but we are really limited on what we can do. We dont need the money as much as other relatives, who has a kid with Cerebral Palsey, and another with Cancer, so they could really use some money. Another year we might when I go off to college and there will be 2 kids to pay for. Now, if the Will was never probated, and the money was spent without permission, what can we do to get things set right?

take them to family court and have it settled its consitered stealing...

You definitely need a lawyer on this one...I am sure your case is not the first of this kind...
It always amazes me how some familys treat each other...sucks that you have to go through this, but at least you know you are a better person in the end than some others...

You need to whip your belt out of your pants and belt whip that girl (Pooty-Tang anyone???lol)
And then, yes you need profesional legal advice. Especially for the families that have kids in need, you can always borrow money for college (I, know its not ideal) but the others only have one chance at life!
