ha, we have the same thing in macon. when the current mayor was elected about 5 years ago (since re-elected one time) we had a 24 million dollar reserve fund in the city. since he has been here, the city has had to take out several multi million dollar tax anticipation loans to cover payroll. property taxes have been raised 2 or 3 times, and garbage fees have tripled. to top it all off he has plenty of time/ city money to make trips to "sister" cities in africa.
his chief finance officer was arrested for racketeering(sp) and the the charges were conveniently dismissed by a judge appointed less than 9 months ago. this particular judge's partner in their law business went to jail for stealing from another county's board of education funds.
oh yeah, he is in court right now trying to fight a court order to pay for one of his bastards.
the election process should seriously have a minimum IQ requirement....both to run and to vote.

Congresswoman??? Boy I swear she takes things too personally. It is politics after all. Didn't she know that? Ask any US Senator or Rep...trash talking the other candidate is standard practice. No need to take it personally.

Eh, I'm sick of that thug idiot and his hooligans. He does provide entertainment, but at the same time it saddens me that he hasn't been killed yet by PO'd citizens. Even worse, there is no real candidate for mayor. All idiots. Archer's old henchman is the best of the pack, but standing out in a pack of idiots isn't that hard. I have a chance to meet all the candidates tonight, but think I'll pass as I think I'd say a snide remark and sent to the prinicpal's office... then the unemployment line shortly thereafter.
Anyone get a variation of this email yet?

well, we all know that we should not believe everything we read on the internet...but seeing as how corruption and politics often tend to be synonyms...those stats can't be too far off pace with reality...
