Talking I think someone found my dog!!

I hope so anyway...

I missed the call, but listened to the voice mail. Animal control gave the lady my number. My GF called, but she was out of the office already, so she left her number instead of mine...

Yeah, I know someone is going to ask, so I'll just say it anyway...

My best friend is a poodle. ...and no she doesn't have the ugly pom pom hair cut...

Very cool! I really hope it's yours!

I had a 4 month old puppy that somehow got out of the yard. She was missing for 3 days before I found her at the gate wimpering. She had been fed well and didn't look any the worse for wear but I was a mess from missing her so much. She never got out or tried to run away again.

reminds me of a story...

The GF and I had a yard sale a few weeks ago, and two guys showed up in an older F150. They were rather rugged looking, "working" men... (Not limp wristed luxo-import types... K?)

Well, the driver gets out, and starts walking up the drive, when the passenger calls out something about the door. He's tugging on it, but it won't open. So, the driver walks over, and opens it from the outside. The as he's walking up he says, "You're not going to tell anyone about that are you?", and before I could reply my poodle, Rose, comes running over to me from inside the garage. So, I just said, "as long as you don't tell anyone about my manly dog."

"Deal" he said, "and since we're keeping secrets, I've got one about that size myself. Or should I say, one about that size has me". and we went on to talk about all kinds of man things...

Moral of the storay:

A poodle can be a great conversation start/friend finder... oh, and by the way, I figure that since I don't mention his name or post his picture I haven't really broken my end of the deal...

UPDATE: GF called me. The lady called her back, and from the description it's our doggy. The lady only lives about 2 blocks away. We're supposed to meet her around 6 or so...

My bestest little pal is a cairne-a-poo. A toy poodle cairne terrier cross breed.
Little dogs are cool dogs indeed ...
She only stands 13 inches high, but she thinks she's three times that

IT WAS ROSEROSE!!!

She's been there since Saturday. They gave her a bath, and even bought her a bag of the really expensive dog food...

The wife and daughter were really wanting to keep her, but the dad said to call around. Glad my GF called the animal shelters, etc...

I thought it was rather funny he said they figured she belong to an older couple. Is 27 too young for a poodle?

Yes, little dogs are cool... Rose is the best behaved dog I've ever had. I'm no good at training, and have never really tried, but Rose knows a few tricks, and will do whatever I tell her... That's why I just couldn't believe she ran off. She's quite timid though, and may have just wondered off, and got too scared to come home...

My mother on the other hand has a male poodle who is smaller than Rose, but thinks he huge. He actually brought her pit bull to the ground the one time he got away from mom, and got close. We figured one good bite, and he might kill the pit bull by the pit bull choking on him, but...

Well, all is well, and Stinky Feet is home!

Ours got out once, just a few weeks after we moved into this house actually.
We couldnt figure out how we got out, all the gates were closed and "locked" (no padlocks on them yet), so we figured someone took him or he jumped the fence.

Called around to some of the animal shelters and he was there.

The strange thing is I can leave the gate open and he usually wont come out, but I guess if it stays open long enough he will wonder off.

Glad you got her back
