Back on Topic

My wife drives like a loon as well. She'll be 30 in Jan, and - get this - she has NEVER had a ticket. I call her Miss Andretti.

I drive like an old man, and I have had 2 in the past 3 years (or something like that). I guess it does pay to have ( . Y . )'s.

Yea Jamzwayne I wouldn't say she hasn't gotten stopped but how she is getting out of the tickets may upset you.

awww see now I know what you were thinking but really she probably has a great list of excuses that work for her....

trashy mind you have there.

Just let it go mate. Welcome to married life.
If I let everything that bugged me about my wife get to me, we wouldn't be comming up for 22 happy years.
No doubt, she would say exactly the same thing about me.
Maybe getting the ticket will slow her down or you could always sign her up for the drags or something

Just look on this as "money in the bank" for you.
Next time you want to spend $$$ on mods and she complains, you have this to fall back on

Excellent points Adam.

I have learn in our 5 years of marriage, a lot of things are better to just leave alone. At first, we argued about silly, stupid things, and it got us nowhere. You'll feel better to just let it go and - like Adam said, you have some "mod insurance".

I absolutely cannot believe how many guys say to "just let it go". I guess Dr. Phil & Oprah's wish is coming true. Now guys are afraid to express to their wives/girlfriends that they are upset that the woman has done something wrong. If you are mad, be mad and then get over it. It doesn't due any good to hold grudges but by all means get mad and get it out of your system. When did it become acceptable for men to act like little whipped lap dogs?

I don't care if the woman was speeding, we all do that. The important point is that she didn't tell her husband that she got a ticket that will most likely increase their car insurance bill. If any man would do the same, every woman on the planet would be up in arms for the man "deceiving" his wife. This guy has every right in the world to be upset, & he should be. For all intents & purposes, she lied to him.

Before anyone asks, I've been married for 8.5 years & been with the same woman for 11 years.

I'm with KC, wail on her and let her know your miffed and if she pulls a stunt like that again she'll be sleeping with the fishes. Tickets = no biggie, Cover up & Lie = curb-kicking potential.

EDIT: If she can hide a ticket, she can hide the fact she's been banging your brother/best friend/sister/whoever...

I hear you loud and clear KC. I look at it like this. "why make a simple thing into a bad thing". Yes, it needs to be discussed. I cant see getting mad about it the ticket, but you are right, she should have been honest about getting the ticket. I would make fun of her, but wouldnt approach the situation in a "mean" way. A mad husband, makes a sad wife. I dont EVER want my wife to be sad.

My 2

I hear ya KC and in a way I don't disagree. But with my wife we have an understanding. I don't make a big deal out of it and she doesn't make a big deal out of it when its my fault.

Works both ways.

I don't know if I would go so far as "sleeping with the fishes" but since I'm from NJ, I'm sure I can find someone in a chrome suit with a baseball bat to hook that up.
