Honeymoon in the Smokey's...story

Well I got hitched on June 18. Been engaged for a year and it finally happened. I am so releived. Just thought I'd share a few little stories.
Had a great Honeymoon.

Friday-took off work for a day of oil changing, washing, claying, polishing, and waxing before the rehearsal. Clay bar was amazing...first timer.

Saturday-Wedding goes really fast. Was nervous at first, but it all fell into place. My buddies saran wrapped my truck and wrote all kinds of things on the windows. Nothing on the paint...sigh of relief. Funny story-pulled out of the church and just had to do a little burnout. Had the tires smoking pretty good and left 2 black marks for 65 feet. (Freind measured) Just when I finished the burnout I looked up and there was a Deputy about 100 feet in front of me. No problem though, went right through my smoke with a smile on his face. Got it on our wedding video, really funny.

We stayed in Memphis at the Peabody on our wedding night. Good place to stay, but not worth the price. Ate supper at the Rondeveauz. (sp?) Good BBQ in the downtown area.

Sunday-Took Lovely Bride 2 hours to get ready. On the road to at 9:30. Had to wait on traffic in Nashville for 1 hour. Got 17 MPG on the way there with the cruise mostly set on 80. Not bad to me.

Anyways, to shorten the story, stayed in a really nice log cabin off to itself on a hill and could be in Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge in 5 minutes. Absolutely perfect. Went to Dollywood (don't waste your money) Clingman's Dome, The Muscle Car Museum, Dixie Stampede, Comedy Barn, Ripley's Acquarium, and lots of shopping and eating, and well, you know.

Got home at about 5 o'clock on the following Friday. Got 18 MPG on the way back. Downhill I guess.

Anyways, hope I didn't bore anybody with my story, just wanted to share. Sorry no digital camera for pics of anything. Truck was the most beautiful red I've ever seen after claying. Perfect honeymoon ride. Glad I bought the Scab!

I'm thinking he's talkin about his truck but I'm not certain. I can see you getting hitched with a truck but not engaged.

Is that the place that you have to walk down an ally to get to the door? If so, yeah, really good BBQ there.

Congrats on getting hitched! Glad you had fun. When/if I get married, my honeymoon will be in Gatlinburg. The Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge areas are awesome. But it can get crowded at times. I've been to Dollywood, Ripley's, and have walked the streets of Gatlinburg. Thiers alot of sights and things to do. I usually go to that little tobacco store in that mini mall on the main strip where you can get free samples. You might have seen it, it has lots of stairs leading up to different floors. They have wishing wells and mini waterfalls in there. I throw a penny in there and make the same wish everytime I go.

Well I got married at her church here in Arkansas. Then we drove to Memphis then Gatlinburg. I guess I should really learn to explain myself better. You have to do something pretty stupid around here for the deputies to write a traffic violation.
