Smile Some good news for me at last

As some of you are aware, my wife suffered from Breast Cancer last year.
She had a Lumpectomy and her lymph nodes removed as it had spread to 3 of the 9 under that arm.
After the surgery, she went through a course of Radio and Chemotherapy.
I was home for the surgery but she went through the majority of the Chemo while I was away working and still managed to keep working while running the house and kids etc.
Yesterday she had her check up (1st year) and has been given the all clear. A little while ago, she thought the lump was coming back but it turns out that this was localised fluid retention due to the removal of the Lymph Nodes.
So basically, things are looking up for here. You have to be clear for 5 years before officially being in remmision but the Doc says that if you make it through the first year, then things look very good.
Fingers crossed and all that.

So...... I am officially cheerful again and apologies to anyone I pi$$ed off lately due to sense of humour failure.

Thanks to another board member who is going through similar for the support by email.

that's great news Adam!

Now you need to take her on a very long, well deserved holiday. I'm sure this past year hasn't been easy for you, her or the kids.

In fact what you should do it take her to Vegas and get remarried and let her know you are as committed to her now as you were when you first got married.

Great news EA. I've thought about you and your wife several times since the dog dieing thread.

My 8 year old nephew passed away Saturday from cancer. Tough little guy who never gave up.

I'm glad to hear your wife is in remission and hope and pray she stays that way.

It can be tough...you guys stay strong.
