My wife and I will hit 9 years married this august - neither of us would presume we married the sexiest people alive. My wife realizes she's no Halle Berry, and I realize I'm no (insert whomever she may think is hot). I don't feel upset or inadequate when she mentions 'geesh - (insert actor) is HOT in that movie'...likewise, she agrees when (insert actress) looks hot in another movie, etc.
(shrug) We're 'realists'...hehe
