Well so we have the boat on hold. Heres the deal...

They are giving us 11,200 for our boat and trailer. Sale price for new boat was like 42,500 or so. He wouldnt come down in price so i told dad to tell him we want captains at his cost. Well he wouldnt do that at first. He said he could give it to us for about 1700...and then we said nope and walked out he called back and said he would do it for 1200. So came back and thats all the further he will come down. We used the old trick of....well the sea ray dealer shot me a hell of a deal on bigger boat...and grabbed his attention.

Mom thinks captains choice is stupid. She cant see spending 1200 for that. I think my dad wants it but knows we dont need it. The guy said if we dont add captains then the price will just be 1,200 less then. So my point to them was it would be stupid to not get captains at half price. He wont go any lower on the price of the boat with out it so basically we are throwing 1000 away to save 1200.

What do you guys think? Get captains put on it or what. I know the DNR are going to be cracking down more on it as of July 1st. We keep getting told it will up the resale value by far. We have to let them know tomorrow if we are going to take it or not.

 

I say do it. For the extra $1200, you'll never notice it in the payment. The only thing you will notice is if you DONT do it and everytime your out in it you say" damn we shoulda got the captains choice"

 

Ok so im pissed off now. Mother thinks its just annoying and stupid to put "noisy" exhaust on a boat. So i said fine...then since they are cutting off about a 1000 bucks off the captains then they better take that off the intial cost of the boat. Well so its at that right now. Shes bullheaded and my dad doesnt have the ***** to say he wants it..sometimes i wonder about him..hes not into trucks or anything like that.

My whole point is why wouldnt you take the exhaust when yes in reality its costing 1200 but yet your saving 1000. Why try saving 1200 and not get a good deal on the other half. God this pisses me off...what the hell is another 1200 bucks. GRRR!!!

 

DOes your mom know it has a switch on it so you can turn it off? This way you can have it off when shes on the boat and turn it on when shes not on the boat..Everybodys Happy!!

 

Yes but shes bullheaded at a one way road sign. But i guess they took off 500 bucks off the price of the boat to not have it put on. So we get to pick her up friday. It actually makes quite a bit of noise as it is but man id like to hear captains on it. Everyone we have talked to(boat dealers) have said this new model of crownline is one hell of a boat. Gotta love the stainless steal dual prop. Makes a huuuge difference. Im wondering what top speed will be. I know captains would gain maybe a few mph. Oh well still go the boat so thats good. There goes $50,000 after everything.

 

Well thats cool, you get to pick it up friday. Captians call...well it would be nice, but honestly I dont think it would give you any noticeable mph or hp gains. The duo props are deff. nice. Just dont bash em up. There about $1500 for the set. Have fun with it and get us some pictures when you get it home or on the water with some bikinis
