I like Aprillia's alot. I've heard it's next to impossible to keep the front wheel on the Tuono on the ground. Any truth to that???

My next bike is going to be either the Ducati Monster S4 or the Truimph Speed Triple.

I won't know until Tuesday. Had to work all day today and now the shop is closed until Tueday. Plan to bring it home then. I ended up buying the Factory edition which adds full Ohlins suspention F&R, Radial Brembo brakes, forged OZ wheels, and just about eveverything else in carbon fiber. 120whp and 400 lbs. My license is at risk. LOL. I also order the full 2 into 2 titanium exhaust and a power commander. Those will go on right after break in miles.

I looked at the S4R Monster. Loved everything I read about it. Fully intended to buy one. Went to the dealer and climbed on. Didn't like the fit. The reach to the bars and the peg position didn't fit me real well. Same dealer also sells Aprilia and had two Tuono's on the floor. Climbed on and the seat height was a little taller (not good for my inseam challeged 5'7" size) but the bars and pegs fit perfect. I can deal with not touching flat foot when the rest of the bike fits so well. The rest is history. Now if we could only get some dry weather to ride in.

If the Aprillia had a single-sided swing arm, there would be one in my garage right now. A friend let me ride his Mille R. I actually bowed down & worshipped it when we parked & switched back. Mine's 1000% more comfortable but his bike will ABSOLUTELY SMOKE mine in ANY performance contest.

The only thing I don't like about the Tuono is the fairing. I like either a full fairing or none at all. Get rid of the fairing & put a round head light on it and it would look better. This is strickly my opinion of course so don't read into it too much.

No matter how you look at it, that's one kick as$ bike you got there.

Same view I have. The little fairing is pretty much butt ugly. I plan to replace it with something. Currnetly looking at a MotoGuzzi head light assembly off of their naked bike. Might be a winter project because I just want to ride it now.
