What he said..

And then do yourself a favor and get Firefox! IE, even the most "up-to-date" version, is an old, outdated infrastructure that dates back to IE 2.0 (circa 1995), and is not secure at all. You can get all kinds of crap through IE including ActiveX apps that spam people in your mail without your knowledge, and viruse/trojan horses. Not to mention, Firefox is about 5 times as fast as IE. Just for comparison's sake, when I used to use IE, it was necessary to re-format and re-install Winbloze about once every six months, because even with 512 MB of RAM, the computer became so loaded down with background apps and junk (i.e., pop-ups) that it was un-manageable. Since I have been using Firefox, it has been over a year and a half and I am still on the same install, and it still runs just as fast as day one, with no changes to the physical characteristics of the computer. Just try it out!
