Just bought Swiffer for dust inside my truck...i could easy to wipe dust/pollen off once a week or so..

My wife said its unsafe cuz it has some chemcail in it.

I want to learn more about it..I couldnt find enuff info about it...all i read the label "keep out of reach by children"

I m wonder if its unsafe if a child lick on the dash and will it harm eh ? i know sounds stupid but i just need to be sure...I ll try google search.

The warning is there to keep kids and pets from eating and swallowing it. As kids and pets like to put things in there mouth, a reasonable concern. If they were to swallow it, they would probably have to be operated on to get it out. I don't see any thing on the package about chemicals, which they would have to list if it was dangerous for that reason. It i mainlt the way the fibers are made that allows it to pick up the dust. I also have a package of Pledge Grab-it, and this hass no warning at all, or and list of chemicals.

Kingfish is probably correct, but I would call the number on the box just to make sure. Even if its the "comment" number just to get a hold of someone who could direct you somewhere.

Have you ever noticed almost any product you buy has that "comment" number to call if you have any questions or comments? Do people actually call them? I mean do people call and let companies know that their toletpaper XL brand works really well?

This is BS. This "warning" has circulated on the dog sites for over a year and is totally untrue...urban legend crap. I suppose if the kid or dog broke into the Swiffer package and ate all the things it wouldn't be good for them, but otherwise, it's bunk.

About a year ago, I watched one of those Emergency Vet shows. They had a puppy that had an obstruction in it's intestines. They thought that they were just twisted, which is common on some dogs. They operated and pulled out a rag that was about a foot long and several inches wide that the pup had eaten and swallowed. They stated that they had seen this more than once, especially with puppies that chewed and ate everything.

Edit: Another thing I forgot to mention on the first post is choking. If they didn't totally swallow it, it could get lodged in their throat.

I'm so sick of stupid warnings on virtually every product sold. Like the huge warning stickers on the bottoms of vertical blinds. And when I put new windows in my house last year, I had 3 big warning stickers on each window and two on each screen! Give me a friggin' break! And how about the 4 big ugly stickers on the sunvisors/ dash of every new F150 truck sold? We have so many warning stickers shoved in our faces every day that people get desensitized to them. Why else would we have some moron coming on the forum posting a thread warning us all about basic driving safety 101 for no other reason than to 'warn' us all again? Thanks, Radar!
