Aftermarket Warranties

Does anyone here have an aftermarket warranty? We wanted to purchase one from our bank for our 2003 Expedition but the ford dealer say's that they only honor a true ford warranty whatever that means.

i had a aftermarket warranty they suck.
they only pay a national rate plan , not to get into a long story they pay on a national average on how long it takes to fix your car if it takes your dealer 4 hrs to fix and the national average is 1.5 hrs guess what you have to pay the difference to with the ford warranty you be better off.
i have been screwed a few times by my aftermaket warranty and would never by one again

if ford doesnt honor those warranties then you have to send the after market warranty people a copy of your work and bill and they will reemburse you on the national average so you will have to pay upfront

i kinda figured that. I wonder if ford would give me an extended warranty.. It has 42K miles on it and we bought it from a non-ford dealer
