Stupid photoshop question...

Okay, when I'm zoomed in close, and I'm using the polygonal lasso tool, how do I scroll across the screen without "deselecting" what I've already "selected"? I can usually get it to go one direction by just moving the cursor off that side of the screen, but it won't go back the other way...

Hold down the space bar.

The poly lasso icon will change to the hand tool icon.

you can move to any spot in your pic, as long as you hold down teh space bar. . .

as soon as you release the space bar you are back in the lasso tool.

THANKS! Just tried it...

I tried several keys hoping for something like that, guess I just missed the really big one right in the middle of the keyboard...

using paths is a LOT easier and much more precise for tracing edges than the Poly Lasso is. For me anyways...
