Unhappy TTFN...It's been real...

And it's been incredibly fun but I have to say good-bye in a week. We are transferring out of Alaska I have loved every minute of our 5 years here and am very sad to leave.

Our house is almost empty, all that's left for the movers to do is load the crates. I kept the computer out but will lose internet on the 17th and box it up to go. We are leaving on the ferry to Prince Rupert, BC on the 20th. From there we road trip down to my folks house in north Idaho and start shopping for a house in North-eastern Washington. We'll be staying with my folks while we get the house and they have no internet, I'm going to try and talk them into dial-up while I'm there with my computer but I don't hold out much hope. They are very set in their ways and new technology intimidates them

So it looks like weekly trips to the library to check the e-mail and pop in on y'all for a few. Don't do anything to fun and exciting while I'm gone, I don't want to miss anything!! I'll miss all of you and I hope to be back up and running within a few months. Until then...y'all stay out of trouble and be safe!

God Bless ~Karen~

don't worry, I never do anything fun or exciting... A few sarcastic comments here and there, that's about it. So you won't be missing much from me.

Hurry back; it won't be the same with just me and Buckdropper in here afterhours...

I don't envy you and the whole moving experience, especially with a fairly long distance involved. Hope all goes well and you and your family have a safe trip.

Well, at least you're moving to the Northwest. It's not Alaska by any stretch, but there's still lots of outdoors stuff to do. I'm from Northeast Oregon myself and miss it every time I think about it.

Thanks for letting us know so we don't put out an All Points Bulletin on you.

Gone for three months?

Please, I bet she pops back up in 6 days like Triton

Good luck with your move, I hope you find a nice place in your new geographic region. Since this isn't goodbye you get no hugs, just a smack on the **** and "see you soon kiddo".
