My Stang...

Just felt like posting some new pix... Went to Eureka Springs with some friends over the weekend... Got a few cool pix including a red with white stripes Ford GT. I'll try to get some pix of it up later...

Speaking of the GT...

I bought my truck on Monday. Sitting in the dealer showroom was a Ford GT (behind ropes with "don't touch" signs, of course), red with white stripes.

Anyway, I get to talking with the salesman...he said that the owner of the dealership turned down $221,000 on the GT. Instead of selling it, Mr. Anderson (the owner) is GIVING it away as a promotional tool. Everyone who buys a new car between now and 9 October gets an entry...

I told the salesman that if I won, I'd have to sell it ASAP as I couldn't pay the taxes...of course, he replied "Well, I'm sure we could help you with that." Yeah, no kidding...

Paul

Was it busy?

Bunch of friends went down there for a Honda Shadow Rally last weekend through this week, some are still there... I'm going to Eureka next weekend or the weekend after "would have to ask the wife LOL" to camp out at Beaver dam and play on Beaver Lake. Kind of fun just saying that I'm going to play on Beaver Lake! LOL I hope that the boat runs for us the whole time this trip. :Praying: Then I will be in Marshall Ar. from end of June - first of July. I love Northern Arkansas.

Thanks for the comments all... I'm still loving it. Just think it's time for some new wheels. It seems everyone has the Bullitts these days. There's even a DSG V6 here in town with a set.

and to answer some questions:

No, haven't run it. Might someday, just to see what it will do.

It's 20% on the sides, and 10 or 15% in the rear ( I can't remember)

and yes, Eureka was packed. It was Blues in Eureka weekend. There's always a lot of bikers there, but I think there were more than usual this weekend. and of course there were the few obnoxious bikers that had nothing better to do than slowly ride back and forth across downtown revving their bikes as loud as possible. Anywhere else that probably wouldn't have been an issue, but on narrow, crowded (pedestrians) streets flanked by tall stone buildings it was at times ubearable. I just wanted to go out there, and either kick them over, or pretend I was in a Rudy's parking lot, and they had just commented on my parking abilities...

I didn't know about the Shadow rally last weekend, my buddy took my old Z over there a few weeks ago for the Z rally they had...

Have fun in Beaver Lake...

Yea, you're going to have to give us more information. What's wrong with Rudi's?

Thats a shame, I ussally like the historic section of downtown Eureka, except trying to make it around the corners in the Scab with out scuffing my wheels, taking out any cars parked along the side, or the oncoming traffic. (If you've ever been there you know what I'm talking about.) We started going there a few times a year about 4 or 5 years ago. I took my wife on her first Horse Drawn Carriage ride from the Cresent through historic Downtown on a trip there for our anniversery a few years ago. We love the whole area there.
