While in my own perfect world (i.e. if I were king) gay couples would not be called a marriage, but in the long run, who cares?
How about The Creator ... He cares. And I read the last chapter in the

The one thing conservative Christians ignore is that we live under US law, not Christ's law (even at that, not all Christians agree it's a sin), so the fact that you think it's a sin has no bearing on anything as far as a law goes.

then why you insist that everyone who disagrees with you is a blasphemer or a God hater?
There is a whole lot of "what ifs" in the Bible.
Ponder this: If God told Lucifer "go ahead, make my day. See if you can turn my flock against me" how are we to know that in fact the Bible was written as Gods word, or maybe its a deceitful ploy by the Devil to turn us?
I'm not saying this is the case, but if you believe that Lucifer is the king of liars who knows what he has done. People put too much faith in the written word and not the lore passed down from previous generations.
Thats why God and Christ tell us to know them and love them in our hearts... not to memorize the Bible and take it verbatim.

MW's approach is unproductive, unhelpful, and actually hurtful to Christianity in general. He doesn't represent the vast majority of Christians or their approach.
Churches don't typically beat on people to get their attention and attendance. People won't come to a church to be told how bad of a person they are. They come to a church looking for help, hope, and Christ.
Sure a church has a responsibility to preach the gospel and some of it is unpleasant. I believe there will be a day of reckoning. I also believe you should do what you can to help people and direct them to church. I don't believe in bringing it to an Internet message board or any place for that matter and insulting, berating, and belittling those you are charged with helping.
Christ did get angry and violent, but only against the false prophets and religious leaders. When he came to the regular people he was kind, gentle, and compassionate. Yes he told them about God, Heaven, Hell, etc but it was never screaming and yelling and name calling, he saved that for the hypocrites.
MW you will get more bees with honey than with RAID or Black Flag or whatever other noxious fumes you are spraying. This is why religion is a taboo topic on boards because people can't accept differences of opinion. Do I believe my beliefs are correct? Sure, but that doesn't mean I trash all others out of hand. Listen, respect, discuss, and them maybe just maybe someone will want to listen and learn more about your beliefs. MW you have effectively isolated yourself from every member on this board. You will never save one lost soul; in fact you have more than likely pushed people from Christianity for fear of ridicule and persecution.
I respectfully suggest that your evangelizing style needs some retooling. I'm sure you are a nice guy and would help anyone you could. Your methods, at least here, don't work.
