A little boy heard that the Circus was coming to town. He was so excited he could hardly sleep at night. He did a lot of extra chores and saved up all his money. When the big day arrived he went down to Main street and stood in the crowd as the Circus went by. There were lions and tigers, huge elephants and giraffes. He hooted and shouted with the rest of crowd, jumping up and down excitedly. The clowns went by and the band, playing a Circus tune. When it passed, the boy stepped off the curb into the street and handed his money to the last man walking behind all the pagentry. He then went home content and pleased with himself that he had been to the Circus.

It wasn't until years later when the boy was an old man that he realized he had never been to the Circus, he had only seen the Parade.

...and thus endeth the lesson.
