I don't think Ford does itself much good with the model names they choose. Freestyle may not be the best name for that vehicle. The worst names so far are Windstar and Freestar, sounds like the name of AC equipment or something. The 500 is as bland as it's name. Names like "Mustang" and "SuperDuty" and "Explorer" and even the new "Fusion" at least give a mental image of the vehicle. "Freestyle" reminds me of some homey crack dealer selling crack on the corner "freestylin some gangsta sheeottt"

I had a Pacifica for about 6 months and liked it a lot at the time. Now that we have baby, I'm much happier w/ our current minivan. Twice the cargo capacity, power sliding doors, and cheaper. When we stop having kids and they grow older and need to carry less stuff, I'd love to drive a crossover again.

I have not read a whole lot about the new Ford Edge, but I believe that it is only a 5 passenger crossover wereas the Freestyle is up to 7 passengers.

With having 3 kids, I would not consider a 5 passenger vehicle as it leaves no room for anyone or anything else, (drop the 3rd row down and there is a lot of cargo capacity).

I think Ford did a very nice job with designing the Freestyle, they just need to advertise it more.
