That 'joke' is FRAMED! The first adjective you read fine, mute, but the second one, blind, is overridden by the fact of 'expressing ones self': it builds that as your mindset.

besides, why can't the mute guy look around for a toothbrush; why does he need to mimick its action. It's not like he can't see.

 

To hell with how he asks for them...WHAT THE HELL IS A BLIND GUY GOING TO DO WITH SUNGLASSES??????????????

 

All blind folks seem to wear dark sunglasses. Check out Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder, for just two examples.
